At Typhoon Excavation, Inc., we believe that a thriving community is the foundation of a successful business. Since calling Williston, North Dakota home in 2008, our owners Alan and Brooke Mapes have raised their family here and are deeply committed to giving back.

The Mapes family’s commitment to community involvement runs deep, as we regularly support and donate to various local organizations that positively impact the lives of our neighbors.

Alan dedicates his summers to fostering a love for baseball among the youth by umpiring countless games. His passion for the sport and dedication to the children in our community reflect our belief in the importance of youth development and teamwork. Safety is another cornerstone of our commitment. Alan provides Veriforce safety training, ensuring that our community and workforce remain safe and knowledgeable in best practices.

Brooke’s passion for education has evolved over the years. Having been actively involved in her children’s schooling, she now channels her volunteer energy into the Williston Community Builders. As a board member since January 2024, Brooke devotes countless hours to various community involvement activities, often encouraging Alan to join her in this rewarding endeavor.

We are grateful for the warm welcome we received when we settled in Williston. This community has played a pivotal role in the growth of our family and business services.
